Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Wickford seeks a hands-on Data Center Technician to support mission-critical facilities on-site. The role requires installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data center hardware within raised-floor environments, with on-call rotation.

You will coordinate with NOC and client teams, perform structured cabling, server racking, and patching, and document work with photos and notes. 2+ years of experience and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber) is preferred.
• Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, Supermicro) is preferred.
• Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar) - preferred.
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
