Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Chester, United Kingdom, is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work on-site to support mission-critical infrastructure at premier data center facilities. Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Familiarity with DCIM and ticketing systems.
• Data center certifications preferred (CDCP, CDCS).
• Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Conduct server racking, stacking, and labeling.
• Perform cross-connects and patch panel work.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.
• Document all work with photos and detailed notes.
• Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams.
