Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician in Rotherham to support critical infrastructure at a world-class data center facility. This full-time, on-site position involves maintaining servers and network gear, cabling, and environmental monitoring.

The role requires 3+ years in data center operations, excellent documentation, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. You will work with engineering and operations teams and participate in capacity planning and upgrades.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience.
• Strong cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• On-site, full-time role in Rotherham with on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
