Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an Assistant Cost Supervisor in Sheffield to provide on-site support, focusing on cost control, supplier engagement and efficient financial administration. You will deliver accurate cost reports, manage PO queries, invoices and GRNs while ensuring compliance with company policies.

With experience in construction or engineering environments, you will collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to support successful project delivery and robust cost controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in site administration, project costing and financial support on construction or engineering projects.
• Ability to report on project costs and manage supplier engagement.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in receipting, invoices and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly project cost reports and monitor project expenditure.
• Review SharePoint records, archive documentation, and process supplier receipts.
• Resolve purchase order queries with Procurement and site teams.
• Process GRNs and ensure timely, accurate transactions.
• Manage invoice queries and drive timely resolutions.
• Engage with suppliers and retrieve POD documentation, supporting cost control.
