Job summary

MorePeople is partnering with a West Sussex fresh produce business to recruit a Commercial Operations Coordinator. The role focuses on coordinating stock, logistics, and customer orders, liaising between production, warehouses, and sales to ensure smooth operations.

You will monitor demand, highlight shortages or excess stock, and support adjustments across commercial and operational teams. Flexibility to work weekends is required, with typical hours 8–5 and occasional earlier starts to handle

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills essential for coordinating across teams.
• Strong organisational skills to maximise output and efficiency.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for forecasting and reporting.
• Resilient in a fast-paced environment with time constraints.
• Around 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Flexible working hours including weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and relay to production, updating customers on delivery status.
• Update demand forecasts and flag shortages or excess stock positions.
• Analyse capacity vs. demand and assess performance against the plan.
• Support commercial and operational teams in adjustments as needed.
• Monitor stock levels, report waste, and track deliveries and discrepancies.
• Liaise with suppliers on availability and scheduling; monitor quality issues and OTIF.
