Job summary

Pareto FM is seeking a Building Services Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at a single client site in South West London. The role focuses on safe operation, planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical, electrical and related building services.

The engineer will work within a prestigious client site, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and Pareto FM standards, while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience within Building Services or Facilities Management.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Experience working within occupied commercial buildings.
• Experience using CAFM systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned preventative maintenance in accordance with statutory requirements and the site maintenance programme.
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs.
• Maintain the safe and efficient operation of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Ensure critical plant and infrastructure remain fully operational through routine inspections and monitoring.
• Complete all work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards and Pareto FM procedures.
• Accurately record all maintenance activities using the CAFM system.
• Escalate plant failures, operational risks and compliance concerns appropriately.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, energy reduction and asset optimisation.
• Support minor works, project activities and planned shutdowns and events where required.
