Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Static Building Services Engineer for our King's Cross, London site. You will oversee routine PPMs on mechanical and electrical plant and handle reactive tasks, ensuring safe operations and timely completion.

The role requires coordinating subcontractors, maintaining Maximo records, and enforcing Permit to Work, LOTO and H&S procedures. You will contribute to a safe, efficient building environment and uphold BGIS quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating routine maintenance schedules on building services
• Strong awareness of health & safety, and KPI/SLA adherence
• Ability to coordinate subcontractors and manage site approvals
• Competence with CMMS (Maximo) for work orders and reporting

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM on mechanical & electrical plant per site schedules
• Execute reactive tasks and identify improvements, including stores and fabric items
• Manage subcontractor performance and approvals on site
• Operate Permit to Work system per BGIS and client requirements
• Ensure plant faults are remedied and spares are available for maintenance
• Prepare and file method statements, risk assessments and safety documentation
• Maintain accurate site records, including near miss reports and risk assessments
• Oversee LOTO system operation and ensure safe working practices
• Monitor environmental conditions via BMS and ensure compliant operations
