Job summary

BGIS is seeking an on-site maintenance engineer for Central London. The role involves maintaining critical building systems, performing 12-hour shift work (day and night), and ensuring M&E plant operates within required environmental conditions.

You will conduct PPM tasks, handle reactive repairs, and coordinate with subcontractors to uphold safety and service standards. The engineer will work with BGIS procedures, monitor alarm data, and use Maximo for ticketing.

Qualifications

• Experience performing PPM, reactive and breakdown tasks on M&E plant.
• Comfort with fault finding via graphical information and alarm data.
• Ability to manage subcontractors and maintain safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine PPM on mechanical and electrical plant per site schedules.
• Complete reactive tasks and suggested improvements across the building.
• Supervise subcontractors and approve their work when on site.
• Operate Permit to Work systems in line with BGIS procedures.
• Ensure plant faults are remedied promptly to keep equipment in service.
• Maintain spares and provide parts lists with estimated repair times.
• Ensure proper paperwork for reactive/breakdown work is filed promptly.
