Job summary

Safran is seeking a Test Engineer for our Cwmbran, South Wales site. On-site role focusing on aircraft interior product testing, data collection and reporting.

You will conduct cyclic and static tests, support test rigs, review plans, and collaborate with Design, Certification and Stress teams, as well as external partners. Essential qualifications include mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic experience and Ladder Logic.

Qualifications

• Technical qualifications or aerospace industry experience.
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• PLC programming knowledge with Ladder Logic.
• Strong technical report writing and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document cyclic and static tests on aircraft interior products.
• Support static and automated cyclic test rigs, using actuators, PLCs, sensors, and more.
• Review test plans provided by cross-functional teams; support compliance and root cause investigations.
• Liaise with Design, Certification, and Stress teams as well as with external partners and visitors.
• Apply analytical thinking to test set-up improvements and feedback for continuous excellence.
• Prepare technical reports and manage test data efficiently.
