Job summary

Safran Seats in Cwmbran, South Wales, is seeking a Test Engineer to join our state-of-the-art laboratories to conduct and document cyclic and static tests on aircraft interior products. You will support both static and automated cyclic test rigs, using actuators, PLCs, sensors, and more.

Ideal candidates have technical qualifications or aerospace experience, plus hands-on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge, PLC/Ladder Logic skills, and strong reporting and data manipulation ability.

Qualifications

• Technical qualifications or aerospace industry experience.
• Experience with mechanical, pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
• PLC programming knowledge – Ladder Logic and data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and document cyclic and static tests on aircraft interior products.
• Support static and automated cyclic test rigs with actuators, PLCs, sensors and more.
• Review test plans from cross‑functional teams; support compliance and root cause investigations.
• Liaise with Design, Certification and Stress teams as well as external partners.
• Prepare technical reports and manage test data efficiently.
