Job summary

Fego Esher is seeking a General Manager for daytime, full-time duties. You will lead the café on the floor, take ownership of guest experience, build and nurture a strong team, and ensure consistent service standards across the board.

You will be hands-on, present and set the tone for daily operations with warmth, confidence and care for people. This role rewards ownership, reliability and a passion for hospitality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience running a busy restaurant or café.
• On-floor leadership style and hands-on approach.
• Strong people development and coaching ability.
• Clear communication and organised, structured working
• Customer-focused with attention to details and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the café with ownership and confidence.
• Be a strong, visible floor presence.
• Build, coach and develop a solid, happy team.
• Create a warm, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Maintain high standards across service, food and environment.
• Manage rotas, stock, labour and key KPIs.
• Follow and improve systems and ways of working.
• Build relationships with regulars and the local community.
• Make clear, confident decisions day to day.
