Job summary

UPP Exeter is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The role is permanent, 37.5 hours weekly on a 7-week rolling rota, with typical hours Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm, and some 12pm-8pm shifts in the cycle.

Salary is £27,793 per year, with a varied, hands-on role supporting safe, comfortable student residences. You will carry out reactive maintenance, provide first-line response, keep areas clean, move furniture and goods, identify safety concerns, and deliver excellent

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, facilities or property environment.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Willingness to support the wider team when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance and repairs in line with service level agreements.
• Provide a first-line response to maintenance issues across our accommodation.
• Maintain clean, safe and presentable communal areas and external spaces throughout the year.
• Support the safe movement of furniture, mattresses, white goods and waste materials.
• Identify and report Health & Safety concerns and escalate issues where required.
• Contribute to a positive student experience through excellent customer service.
