Job summary

CO2021 UPP (Nottingham) Limited is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Nottingham. This permanent role runs 37.5 hours per week, 8am–4pm, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £26,739 per annum.

You will carry out reactive maintenance under SLA, support health and safety checks, and assist with statutory testing. The team focuses on maintaining safe, well-run student accommodation and high-quality facilities management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar maintenance role and environment.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and provide front line response when jobs are raised on the Workplace Management System (Planon) utilising a portable electronic device to record job details.
• Ensure that the environment is maintained in accordance with the SLA, including keeping the sites clean and well maintained by monitoring plant rooms and common areas.
• Assist with statutory testing including fire alarm testing, fire extinguishers, fire blankets and fire detector checks, water temperature monitoring, and emergency lighting checks.
• Provide reports (verbal/written and electronic) relating to compliance, maintenance tasks and condition checks.
• Report any Health and Safety issues relating to the residence ensuring all information is passed to the relevant Manager(s) and take appropriate immediate actions to reduce risk.
