Job summary

Ringway London is seeking an operative in Stevenage to carry out general maintenance and highway-related tasks. The role works under a Chargehand and involves responding to emergencies, on-call duties, and assisting with winter maintenance as needed.

Training and progression are possible for those who have completed apprenticeship training. A current driving licence and CSCS card may be required depending on client needs.

• To have and be able to apply a wide range of generalist skills
• To understand risk assessments and to assess according to safe systems of work
• To be able to understand and carry out work as set out in a specification
• Generally hold 12 months+ experience
• Potential & interest in obtaining LGV licence
• Undertaken training on: General health & safety awareness / Risk assessment awareness / Traffic Management / Use of PDA as required
• Ability to use small plant and equipment
• Ability to operate mini excavator
