Job summary

National Grid Electricity Distribution is seeking a Team Leader based at our Alfreton depot (Midlands area) to lead a team of Craft staff. The role reports to the Field Operations Team Manager, focusing on efficient delivery, safety, and performance across the region.

You will oversee scheduling, training, and authorisations, drive productivity, and manage performance on a 1:1 basis while ensuring compliance with policies. A full UK driving licence and proximity to DE55 4QT are required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of managing teams and driving performance.
• Experience leading Craft staff and ensuring H&S compliance.
• Full, valid UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations by your teams.
• Efficiently schedule work activities for the region.
• Collaborate with other teams to manage workload and resources.
• Drive team productivity and conduct performance management.
• Maintain a full schedule of work and ensure timely deliveries.
• Provide training and authorisations to support a safe workplace.
• Respond quickly and professionally to customer complaints.
