First Light is seeking a bank Crisis Worker for Swindon SARC to provide on-call trauma support to victims of rape and sexual assault. The role involves safe, confidential handling of cases, potential travel to Wiltshire sites, and collaboration with a Sexual Offence Examiner in a forensic environment.

The position is on a 12-hour on-call shift pattern, with induction requiring attendance one weekday per week for the first month and monthly team meetings. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis support or trauma-informed care preferred.
• Ability to work in forensic environment and follow protocols.
• Must be able to travel to Wiltshire sites if required.

Responsabilités

• Provide crisis management and support to victims of rape or sexual assault who have interacted with police or may choose not to report.
• Answer SARC Crisis Line at any time during on-call shift.
• Attend SARC to support the forensic process and act as advocate for the victim.
