Job summary

Mountain Healthcare is seeking a Crisis Worker to support victims at The Glade SARC in Bransford and The Glade SARC in Telford. The role involves acting as advocate for patients and assisting with forensic procedures to manage care pathways.

Applicants should be compassionate with IT and basic admin skills and be willing to travel between sites. A DBS check and police vetting are required; driving license and vehicle access may be preferred.

Qualifications

• First point of contact for service users.
• Prepare service users and assist in collecting forensic evidence.
• Maintain DNA anticontamination standards between cases.
• Liaise with other agencies on the service user pathway.
• Advocate for patients during their time at the SARC.
• Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting required.
• Driving license and access to a vehicle may be required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for service users.
• Support service users and their families visiting the centre, including preparing the patient and assisting in collecting forensic evidence.
• Ensure high standards of DNA anticontamination between cases.
• Assist patients and coordinate with other agencies on the service user pathway.
• Advocate for patients during their time at the SARC.
• Be a key member of the SARC team and wider company network.
• IT skills and basic administration included.
• Experience in supportive or customer-focused environments is valued.
• Demonstrate kindness and caring in all interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• A UK driving license and vehicle access may be required.
• Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
