Job summary

Red Funnel Limited is seeking an On-Board Services Officer to lead the Passenger Operations team on our Raptor Class ferries. This fixed-term full-time role covers maternity leave until 31 October 2027, focusing on safety, customer service and efficient onboard hospitality operations.

You will manage a dynamic team across food, beverage and retail services, ensuring high standards, excellent guest experiences, and effective operation in both normal and emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisory experience in a high-volume customer-focused environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Certifications listed (ENG1, food hygiene, STCW) are required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Passenger Operations team on board.
• Maintain safety standards and ensure procedures are followed at all times.
• Oversee onboard food, beverage and retail facilities for staffing, efficiency and commercial performance.
• Coordinate with onboard and shore-based departments to resource vessels effectively.
• Deliver first-class customer service and lead the team during normal operations and emergencies.
