Job summary

Rail Gourmet is hiring an On Board Host for TransPennine Express at Liverpool Lime Street Station. You will provide at-seat trolley service, manage stock, and handle transactions while delivering outstanding customer care on trains.

We offer full training in a fast-paced railway environment. This is a full-time role (39 hours) with shifts from 6am to 9pm, including some weekends, and a pay rate of £13.65 per hour plus commission.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a customer-facing role within hospitality/retail sectors.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced railway catering environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide at-seat trolley service on TPE trains and handle transactions with customers.
• Travel on assigned trains to assist passengers and meet sales targets.

Job description

On-Board Host for TransPennine Express (TPE) at Liverpool Lime Street Station.

Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour plus commission
Hours: Full Time (39 hours).
Shifts: Rotational shifts between 6am and 9pm, including some weekends.

• Due to some responsibilities within the Onboard Host role, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including long hours and varying shifts.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years working experience gained in a Customer Facing role within the Retail Leisure & Hospitality Industry.
Full Training will be provided.

AS AN ON BOARD HOST YOU’LL:

• Provide 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains, ensuring outstanding customer service, managing stock, and handling transactions.
• Travel on assigned trains, assisting passengers, achieving sales targets independently, and meeting contractual goals.
• Accurately account for stock and transactions, adhere to hygiene and safety standards, and support management initiatives.
