Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Oliver McGowan Facilitating Trainer to deliver mandatory training on learning disability and autism across the Greater Manchester area. You will co-facilitate with Experts by Experience, ensuring lived experience remains central to learning and compliance with national standards.

The role requires delivering both in-person and virtual sessions, adapting to diverse audiences, and supporting improvements with robust record-keeping and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering education, training, or presentations to groups.
• Experience working with autistic people and/or people with a learning disability.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt communication styles for different audiences.
• Understanding of learning disability, autism, inclusion and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism in line with national standards.
• Co-facilitate engaging training sessions with Experts by Experience, including autistic people and people with a learning disability.
• Facilitate face-to-face and virtual learning sessions using a range of training methods.
• Adapt training approaches to meet the needs of diverse audiences while maintaining the integrity of the national training package.
• Support Experts by Experience through preparation, delivery and follow-up activities, ensuring reasonable adjustments are in place.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and partner organisations.
• Monitor learner engagement, evaluate training effectiveness and contribute to quality assurance.
• Maintain accurate training records and evaluation reports.
• Represent Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust at meetings and contribute to training programme development across Greater Manchester.
