Job description

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism is named after Oliver McGowan, whose death shone a light on the need for health and social care staff to have better training. The role plays a key part in delivering The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism to people who work in health and social care services within the North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS).

Full training and ongoing support will be provided to successful co‑trainers to enable them to carry out this role. The role will include "Train the Trainer" training to become part of the team delivering Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training. Co‑trainers will become approved co‑trainers to deliver the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training and be supported to deliver the training in the way that best matches their needs and abilities.

The post holder will be part of an Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Team, alongside other Experts with Lived Experience Co‑Trainers, Facilitating Trainers, Lead Trainer and support staff.
