Job summary

ECL is seeking an Older People Support Worker to assist with personal care and daily activities for older adults in Clacton and surrounding areas. You will support individuals, including those living with dementia, to maintain independence and participate in on-site and community activities.

The role requires passion for care, excellent communication, and flexibility. Travel across Essex to attend training and support multiple centres is part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for high-quality care.
• Excellent listening and communication abilities.
• Empathetic, patient and compassionate approach.
• Willing to assist with personal care as needed.
• Basic IT literacy for record-keeping and care plans.
• Proactive work style and ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to meet varying shift needs and travel across centres.
• Driver with own vehicle is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to maintain nutrition and hydration.
• Support older people, including those with dementia or frailty, in daily activities.
• Deliver person-centred activities to maintain independence and social interaction, on-site and in the community.
• Assist with medication administration when required.
• Travelling across Essex to attend training and work at other centres.
