Job summary
ECL is seeking an Older People Support Worker to assist with personal care and daily activities for older adults in Clacton and surrounding areas. You will support individuals, including those living with dementia, to maintain independence and participate in on-site and community activities.
The role requires passion for care, excellent communication, and flexibility. Travel across Essex to attend training and support multiple centres is part of the job.

- Provide personal care and support to maintain nutrition and hydration.

- Assist with medication administration when required.
- Travelling across Essex to attend training and work at other centres.

Salary: £12.91 per hour
Location: Clacton OP North, Millicents day centre
Hours: x1 30 hours per week x1 18 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential
We are looking for individuals who share our values and passion to make a positive difference to people's lives. You'll be supporting older people, some living with Dementia and/or age-related frailty and clinical needs such as dysphagia. We provide a holistic service that focuses on social inclusion and community, enhancing quality of life for both our customers and their loved ones.
As an Older People Support Worker, you will join a dedicated team offering specialist, person-centred support to individuals with decreased mobility, or individuals living with Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinson's. You'll be delivering a range of tailored activities focused on maintaining independence and encouraging social interaction through both on‑site and community-based activities.
You will support our customers with personal care and support to maintain nutrition and hydration, and assist with medication administration where required.
Previous experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Travel required across Essex to attend training, work at other centres, and in the community.
