Jagex: The RuneScape Company is seeking a Community Manager for Old School RuneScape to translate deep game knowledge into effective community strategy. You will be the go-to expert for designers on how updates land with players, and you will build authentic relationships across forums, Discord, and social platforms.

Flexibility is offered with some onsite work weekly; candidates should be based near Cambridge or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

• Deep, current knowledge of Old School RuneScape and its player ecosystems.
• Comfort on camera and public speaking is expected on a weekly basis.
• Ability to think critically, propose practical solutions, and present them to colleagues.
• Strong written and verbal communication, adaptable to platforms and audiences.
• Experience in community management, player support, PR or related high-pressure communication roles.

Responsabilités

• Act as the Old School expert, advising designers on how updates land with different player groups.
• Manage community platforms (forums, Reddit, Discord, social media) and build genuine player relationships.
• Produce and feature in livestreams, videos and podcasts as a public-facing voice.
• Represent community sentiment to development teams and ensure player perspective informs decisions.
• Manage relationships with partners, influencers, volunteers, and sub-communities.
• Monitor sentiment and engagement, providing data-driven insights to the team.
• Contribute to in-game and real-world events and community activations.
