Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a Semi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourer in Darwen, UK to join on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on residential oil spill projects and environmental restoration, supporting safety and pollution response services for the insurance sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including hand digging, groundwork, laying drainage, concreting.
• Ability to operate a mini digger/dumper (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week if required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check and pre-employment Drugs and Alcohol Screening.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site works following safety protocols, including the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.
