Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd is seeking a Semi-Skilled Groundworker/Labourer for a permanent, full-time role based in Bury Saint Edmunds, UK. You will carry out site works on residential oil spill projects, following safety protocols and assisting senior team members.

Travel and work away from home may be required during the week; a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK are essential, with DBS and drugs/alcohol screening part of pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-skilled construction role, including hand digging, groundwork, laying drainage, concreting, etc.
• Ability to operate a mini digger/dumper (preferred but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• Willingness to travel and work away from home during the week if required.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Successful candidates will be subject to a DBS check and pre-employment Drugs and Alcohol Screening.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site works following safety protocols, including the Construction Phase Plan and Health & Safety Policy.
• Assist Senior Technician/General Builder with various tasks.
• Support ISO9001 Quality Management System and ISO45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System processes.
• Perform additional tasks as advised by Top Management.
• Work away periodically
