Job summary

Brook Street is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed Children's Residential Home in Walsall, supporting young people aged 8-17 with EBD. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure Ofsted compliance and create a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires proven leadership in residential childcare, safeguarding expertise, and awareness of Children’s Homes Regulations. A Level 3 CYW and Level 5 Leadership qualification (or willingness to pursue) are preferred, with a

• Experience within a Children's Residential Home setting.
• Previous management or senior leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a residential childcare team.
• Create a positive, child-centred and therapeutic environment.
• Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of the service.
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
• Manage care planning, risk assessments and placement outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities and partner agencies.
• Oversee staffing, budgets and operational performance.
• Drive continuous improvement and service development.

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a well-established 4-bed Children's Residential Home in Walsall , supporting young people aged 8-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

The Role

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people and has proven leadership experience within residential childcare.

You’ll have:

• Experience within a Children's Residential Home setting.
• Previous management or senior leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
• Understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
• Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (or equivalent).
• Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification, or willingness to work towards it.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
