Job summary

Equinor is seeking an experienced Authorized Technician to support offshore wind operations from the Dudgeon site aboard a Service Operations Vessel. The role follows a 14-days-on/14-days-off rotation with 12-hour shifts, focusing on fault diagnosis, SCADA systems, and periodic maintenance across DD WTG platforms.

Candidates should have 2+ years in electrical/electronic, automation or mechanical fields, be safety-driven, and ready to train across WTG types.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience at authorised technician level in Electrical/Electronic, Automation or Mechanical with preference for electrical.
• Deep knowledge of SCADA/operating systems and data-driven fault prediction.
• Maintain Authorized technician competence.
• Expert in fault finding for the WTG platform and using OEM tools.
• Willing to train across WTG types (3.6 & 6MW DD).
• Willing to train for preventative and corrective tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply discipline expertise in fault reporting and SCADA/automation.
• Troubleshoot DD platform issues and maintain training/competence.
• Record work and raise defects using SAP (Digital Worker).
• Inspect, service and troubleshoot 6MW DD WTG components.
• Lead toolbox talks, audits and supervise shifts; deputise for Senior tech as needed.
• Maintain tools, reporting, and assist incident control per site plan.
• Mentor trainees and support knowledge sharing between shifts.
