Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking an Operational Asset & Marine Controller to join our Control Room Services team, supporting offshore and onshore wind farms across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and Asia 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The role includes monitoring operations, responding to alarms, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring safe marine activities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Mathematics.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work a rotating day and night shift pattern.
• Marine Coordinator qualification would be beneficial, but we will also consider candidates willing to work towards achieving this.

Responsibilities

• Monitor wind farm operations and identify system alarms and events.
• Escalate and coordinate operational issues with engineers and field teams.
• Assist with the coordination of offshore personnel, contractors, and vessels.
• Maintain accurate operational records and reports for clients.
• Provide daily updates on completed and planned activities.
• Support emergency response activities when required.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient operations.
