Job summary

Ithaca Energy, a leading North Sea operator, invites applications for a Marine Control Room Operator offshore on the Captain FPSO. You will report to the Marine Co-ordinator and contribute to safe and efficient marine operations, including vessel stability, station keeping, ballast management and 3rd party vessel coordination within the 500m zone.

The role requires a Deck Officer Certificate of Competency, FPSO/FSU experience and a strong track record in weather interpretation, teamwork and SHE

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and interpret weather forecasts and synoptic charts.
• Proven teamwork and leadership in a multi-discipline environment.
• Strong focus on safety, SHE initiatives and incident response.
• Experience with centralised control room operations and ESD/Fire & Gas awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vessel stability within guidelines during production and offload operations.
• Interpret weather data and align vessel for prevailing conditions.
• Carry out loading, storage and ballasting to maintain stability and trim.
• Provide guidance during emergencies and assist to resolve issues.
• Prepare and review cargo and ballast plans in line with SOPs.
• Coordinate marine activity with shuttle tankers and other installations.
• Maintain comprehensive control room logs and accurate handovers.
• Operate within Safe Isolation of Plant & Equipment procedures for marine systems.
