Job summary

ScottishPower Renewables seeks a Balance of Plant (BOP) Technician – Electrically biased to support East Anglia One windfarm operations. You will service 102 cranes and foundation equipment, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and work offshore and onshore with the HV team.

Candidates should have electrical competence, offshore wind experience preferred, and a strong focus on health and safety. Training and career development are offered within our safety-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification or strong background in electrical competence.
• Experience in Offshore Wind environments preferred.
• Experience maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience maintaining cranes desirable.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Planning and organisational skills.
• Good reporting and communication abilities.
• Commitment to safety and working within a safe system of work.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and troubleshoot all 102 wind turbine cranes and turbine foundation equipment.
• Assist in maintenance tasks on onshore/offshore substations with HV team and contractors.
• Fault finding and corrective action planning with involvement in retrofit solutions.
• Support HV switching, isolation, earthing under SAP supervision.
• Contribute to RAMS and site procedures; coordinate with site contractors.
• Engage in minor projects and development within the BOP role.
