Job summary

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd. is seeking a proactive maintenance technician to join the Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm team on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will apply your electrical or mechanical foundation to perform routine service, fault finding and major component exchanges offshore.

Working pattern is 7 days on, 7 days off with on-call duties and site travel as required. The role emphasises safety, SCADA and SAP reporting, with training provided to achieve required

Qualifications

• Completed an Engineering apprenticeship. Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex systems and read schematic drawings.
• Willingness to travel to support other sites within our fleet and for training courses.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance of offshore wind turbines and balance of plant; servicing, troubleshooting and component exchanges.
• Utilise SCADA and other software to interrogate turbine controllers, reset faults and document fault histories.
• Prepare work plans and record tasks in SAP; contribute to non-routine works and site improvements.
• Work shifts 7 days on, 7 days off; available for on-call and travel as required.
• Participate in safety procedures and work towards authorised technician roles.
