Job summary

Northern Marine Manning Services seeks an experienced Night Cook Baker for an offshore jack-up installation. You will provide 24-hour catering, uphold stringent hygiene standards, and assist in provisioning to ensure continuous supplies.

A minimum of 1 year at sea and 3 years cooking experience are required, with a preference for a trained professional cook. Applicants must be a UK national or hold UK right to work.

Qualifications

• UK National or valid Right to Work in the UK required.
• Sea service: minimum 1 year at sea and 3 years cooking experience.
• Passport valid for at least 6 months.
• Professional cook training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour catering on board the vessel in a safe, friendly and efficient manner.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in all food handling and preparation.
• Assist in provisioning with notice for continuous replenishment of supplies.
• Keep galley clean and organized to ensure a safe living environment.
• Train other galley staff in food prep with emphasis on safety and hygiene.

Job description

On behalf of our client, Northern Marine Manning Services are currently looking to recruit an experienced Night Cook Baker join our client's Jack-up Installation on Sunday 16th August.

Rotation 4/4 weeks on/off.

Please note applicants must be a UK National or hold a UK Right to Work Permit.

Roles and Responsibilities

• To provide quality catering and food services for a diverse multicultural staff/ to provide 24-hour food catering on board the vessel in safe, friendly and efficient manner
• To ensure that high hygiene standards are always maintained for all food handling and preparation
• To assist in ordering of provisions with sufficient notice to allow for continuous replenishment of catering and accommodation supplies
• To ensure that a good standard of housekeeping in kept within the galley to provide a safe living environment
• To provide training to other galley personnel in food preparation with underline of safety and hygienic industrial practice
• To report to Chief Steward of any malfunctioning, defect or broken equipment as soon as known
• At least 1 year of sea service and working as cook for at least 3 years, preferably trained as professional cook
