Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting an Offshore / Marine Agent to join our Avonmouth team in Bristol, supporting the Hinkley Point C marine and tunnelling programme. You will lead offshore construction activities, coordinate Section Engineers, subcontractors and engineering teams, and ensure work is delivered safely, on time and to programme.

You'll bring solid offshore construction experience, strong stakeholder management and a proactive problem-solving approach, with a full UK driving licence

Qualifications

• Experience in offshore construction or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of offshore installation activities and construction methodologies.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, engineering teams and offshore stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage programme, progress reporting and productivity monitoring.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Flexible to support offshore campaigns, including unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of offshore quality management and project deliverables.
• Experience in energy, marine or nuclear sectors.
• Knowledge of commercial processes, procurement and subcontract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a section of offshore works, ensuring safe and effective delivery.
• Manage Section Engineers, Offshore Client Representatives and subcontractors.
• Review and improve method statements, risk assessments and operational documentation.
• Support the implementation of safe systems of work and promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor offshore works to ensure compliance with project specifications, procedures and quality requirements.
• Produce and manage section programmes, tracking progress and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor productivity and KPI performance, recommending corrective actions where required.
• Carry out inspections, audits and reviews of offshore activities and documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and support reporting requirements.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Support commercial activities, including subcontractor management and records for commercial recovery.
• Assist in the coordination and planning of offshore campaigns and marine operations.
