Job summary

Balfour Beatty is recruiting an Offshore Section Engineer in Avonmouth, Bristol for the Hinkley Point C project. You will lead a section of offshore works, coordinating technical delivery, safety, and quality within a complex marine environment.

You will work with engineering teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure programme milestones are met, approvals obtained, and handover documentation prepared, while mentoring junior engineers and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in offshore construction, marine operations or major infrastructure projects.
• Ability to review permanent and temporary works designs and provide practical solutions.
• Proven capability to develop and review method statements, risk assessments and ITPs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a section of offshore works, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and resolve engineering challenges with stakeholders.
• Plan and manage marine/offshore construction activities to support programme delivery.
• Review designs and documentation to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Mentor and develop less experienced engineers and support audits and handovers.
