Job summary

Noble Drilling seeks a Drilling Section Leader to oversee offshore drilling operations, safety, budget adherence, and client relations. You will lead the crew, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage equipment and supplies on the rig.

Ideal candidates have offshore drilling experience, leadership ability, and a strong grasp of environmental and safety standards, including MARPOL. ROLE requires on-site presence and active collaboration with the client and supervisory teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience as an Assistant Rig Manager / DSL.
• MODU OIM License (unrestricted) or working towards unrestricted license.
• Strong technical background in drilling operations and support equipment.
• Excellent leadership, communication and management skills.
• Proficient with office software and company proprietary software.
• Experience with Dynamic Positioning Systems if MODU is equipped.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and hazardous materials handling.
• Experience in offshore marine operations and drilling operations.
• Ability to multitask and maintain ownership of rig equipment.

Responsibilities

• Directly represent Noble on board and ensure overall operation, safety and client relations.
• Act as PIC when required, supervising rig movement, ballast, and equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors; order rig supplies and manage budgets.
• Lead daily briefings, prepare status reports, and maintain records.
• Maintain compliance with MARPOL, environmental controls and Noble’s systems.
• Promote safety, conduct drills, and develop subordinate personnel.
