Job summary

EDF seeks an experienced construction professional to lead offshore activities at the Avonmouth site, delivering safe, efficient offshore works to support power station commissioning. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, review safety and quality documentation, and manage budgets and procurement for offshore campaigns in a challenging marine environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in offshore, marine or heavy civil/mechanical works.
• Experience managing offshore, marine, infrastructure or major construction works.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and temporary works.
• Experience developing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Strong planning and progress monitoring against programme.
• Knowledge of quality management, inspections and handover requirements.
• Good understanding of cost control and subcontract management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and supervise offshore construction activities.
• Lead and manage a section of offshore works with safe, efficient delivery.
• Coordinate Sub Agents, Section Engineers, Site Engineers and subcontractors.
• Review method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Implement permits, temporary works requirements and construction controls.
• Monitor progress against the programme and drive productivity.
• Produce detailed construction programmes and resource plans.
• Oversee quality management, inspections and handover documentation.
• Liaise with designers, project teams and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor budgets, costs and commercial performance; support procurement.
