Job summary

EDF Energy Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced offshore construction professional to plan, manage and supervise offshore works at the Avonmouth site, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will lead a section, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, review method statements and risk assessments, manage permits and temporary works, and monitor progress and budgets across the project.

Qualifications

• Experience in offshore, marine or heavy civil engineering works.
• Experience managing offshore, marine, infrastructure or major construction works.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering controls and temporary works.
• Experience developing and reviewing method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
• Strong planning and programming skills with experience monitoring progress against programme.
• Understanding of quality management systems, inspections and handover requirements.
• Good knowledge of commercial processes, cost control and subcontract management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Understanding of offshore quality management and project deliverables.
• Experience working within the energy, marine or nuclear sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a section of offshore works, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
• Manage Sub Agents, Section Engineers, Site Engineers, and subcontractors involved in offshore operations.
• Review and improve method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Ensure the effective implementation of permits, temporary works requirements and construction controls.
• Monitor progress against programme and identify opportunities to improve productivity and performance.
• Produce and manage detailed construction programmes and resource plans.
• Oversee quality management processes including inspections, audits, handover documentation and non-conformance management.
• Liaise with designers, project teams and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor section budgets, costs and commercial performance.
• Support procurement activities and management of subcontract packages.
• Maintain project records and prepare reports for the wider project team and client.
