Job summary

Offshore Maintenance Group on the Transocean fleet seeks a 3rd Assistant Engineer to assist with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems aboard the vessel. You will participate in planned maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, under supervision of the 2nd Assistant Engineer.

Expect strict adherence to safety, HSE requirements, and shipboard procedures. Applicants should meet the listed qualifications and be prepared to operate within a dynamic offshore environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and basic qualifications relevant to the role.
• Valid 3rd Engineer Unlimited License (Class 3 Motor above 3000kW) is required.
• Knowledge of technical calculations used in mechanical operations.
• Graduate of Trade School or University where related knowledge applies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operations and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
• Follow procedures and participate in safety drills and risk assessments.
• Report to 2nd Assistant Engineer and supervise Motor Operator as directed.
• Maintain logs and records for equipment maintenance and inspections.
