Job summary

BW Offshore seeks an Offshore Utility Technician to join the maintenance team on the Catcher FPSO, based offshore. The role reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and focuses on boiler, water treatment, and engine room utility systems.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of Marine Engineer experience on tankers or FPSOs/FSOs, strong communication skills, and training aligned with company matrix requirements. A demanding offshore environment and a culture of safety are part of daily work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as Marine Engineer on crude/product tankers or FPSOs/FSOs.
• Experience with engine room utility systems and maintenance is desirable.
• Training according to matrix requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor boiler water, feedwater, and cooling quality per recommendations.
• Operate freshwater generators, Mitsubishi dual fuel boilers, and LPSG systems.
• Maintain Wartsila W12V32 diesel engines and related equipment.
• Monitor and maintain engine room utility systems (cooling, air, lube oil, diesel, bilge, sludge, sewage).
• Plan and execute corrective and planned maintenance; log work and spare parts in CMMS (IFS).
• Prepare and manage Work Permits via Enablon.
• Raise purchase requisitions and manage spare parts stock for utility systems.
• Coordinate with other departments on engine room maintenance and operations.
• Ensure safe management of vendors and contractors.
