Job summary

IDEX Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a small Insurance Broker in London for an IT Support Assistant. The role focuses on hands-on 1-to-1 IT support rather than a busy helpdesk, supporting Windows environments, O365/Azure, and Cyber Essentials.

You will work closely with the IT Manager and Operations Director in a friendly team. Ideal for someone with IT support experience or a recent IT/CS graduate who wants to grow across a variety of technologies in a close-knit, people-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or recent IT/computer science graduate.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach.
• Interest in learning new technologies and developing professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-to-1 support in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Support Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2019+.
• Maintain Windows updates and backups using Veeam.
• Administer O365 and Azure Cloud Services; manage Azure AD.
• Provide basic network and printer support.
• Audit shared drives and permissions; enforce password policy.
