Job Description:

We are working with a well-established boutique accountancy firm with clients across the nation. Due to recent growth, the firm is seeking an Office Administrator with the following qualifications and skills:

  • At least 1 year of administration experience
  • Experience with Companies House web filing is essential
  • Highly organized, proactive, and a self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently
  • Capable of working under pressure in a busy environment
  • Team player with active participation and the ability to work independently
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities:
  • Manage team tasks, ensuring they are updated and progressed
  • Liaise with clients for information requests
  • Handle ad-hoc team tasks and ensure timely updates
  • Manage year-end deadlines and notify the Head of Accountancy
  • Perform general company secretarial duties, including incorporations, filing confirmation statements, and director appointments
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding VAT, Corporation Tax, and PAYE queries
  • Prepare documents and official correspondence
  • File documents accurately with Companies House and HMRC
  • Draft Letters of Engagement
  • Onboard and offboard clients
  • Conduct AML checks
  • Handle scanning, filing, and post
  • Provide general administrative support to the Head of Accountancy
