Job summary

We Prepare Ltd, based in Slough, is seeking a Production Planner for a fixed-term maternity cover. The role is office-based and not suitable for home working; you will coordinate production planning and documentation to meet schedules and maintain traceability.

Responsibilities include managing inventory in Dynamics GP, updating recipes, and ensuring clear communication with despatch and management. This is a full-time, office-based position.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent English communication skills, clear and professional both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Plan production from an administrative and documentation perspective, ensure orders meet schedule and cut-off times, prepare paperwork (delivery notes, production sheets, product lists, labels).
• Manage inventory in Microsoft Dynamics GP: add/edit products, prices, costs, activation status.
• Plan daily production and update recipes in Steven's programme; generate ingredient lists.
• File and maintain delivery notes, production sheets, and recipes per traceability system.
• Communicate production issues, emergency orders, and ad hoc situations with despatch, production, and management.

We Prepare Ltd are a Chef inspired Sandwich & Salad manufacturing company with a production unit based in Slough. (BRCGs AA accredited). WSH is the parent company for leading brands such as BaxterStorey operating in the catering and hospitality sectors.

We Prepare supports WSH’s teams across all these sectors, and in addition works directly with major clients in the airline, travel, and food service sectors.

Job Description

This is a full-time position, with start and finish times to be agreed. The role is fully office-based, and home working is not available due to the requirements of the position. The post is offered on a fixed-term basis as maternity cover.

• Plan production from an administrative and documentation perspective by ensuring all orders are received according to the production schedule and within the cut-off time, updating production plans, and preparing all required paperwork, including delivery notes, production sheets, product lists, and labels for the High Care and Despatch teams.
• Managing the inventory in Microsoft Dynamics GP; adding new products, editing existing products, editing prices and costs, activating/deactivating products.
• Manage Steven's programme by planning daily production, adding new recipes, updating existing recipes, and generating ingredient lists.
• File and maintain delivery notes, production sheets, and recipes in accordance with the company's traceability system.
• Actively communicate with the despatch team, production team, and management regarding any production issues, emergency orders, or other ad hoc situations.
