Job summary

Expleo Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an electrical engineer to develop innovative high-voltage electrical systems for off-highway vehicles. You will design and integrate electrical architectures, specify components, and ensure compliance with UK/European standards.

The role involves CAD work (Zuken E3, Siemens NX preferred), fault diagnostics, testing, and producing technical instructions. You will collaborate with a team and may travel to support projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in off-highway or automotive electrical system design.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiar with vehicle legislation and standards (UK/EU/ROW).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-voltage electrical systems (12V–600V) for heavyduty vehicles.
• Develop 12V/24V systems for standard vehicle applications.
• Use CAD to define wiring systems (Zuken E3/Siemens NX preferred).
• Define electrical/electronic system architecture and safety-critical design.
• Specify components and conduct testing/validation.
• Produce technical specifications, group standards, and engineering instructions.
• Perform system and installation reviews to established standards.
• Set up and maintain development and validation rigs.
