Overview
MK Search are working with a leading main contractor with a turnover of €900m and a strong international presence delivering across sectors who are for a OFCI Package Manager to join their team on a notable 68MW data centre project they are delivering in South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical and process lead for all OFCI (Owner Furnished, Contractor Installed) equipment packages, acting as the main point of contact between client-appointed vendors and project stakeholders.
- Manage the OFCI team to ensure all works are effectively engineered, coordinated, and executed in full compliance with project specifications, schedule, and quality standards.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of OFCI packages — from procurement through delivery, installation, and commissioning — ensuring integration with the overall construction programme.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, planning, and commissioning teams to drive alignment and support seamless project delivery.
- Lead regular coordination meetings with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to review progress, resolve issues, and maintain clear communication.
- Track and report on OFCI progress, identifying potential risks and implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to prevent or resolve contractual and operational disputes.
- Ensure all vendor-supplied equipment meets technical, safety, and quality standards prior to installation.
- Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality, data security, and project compliance requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years' experience with an M&E contractor, ideally on mission-critical or large-scale projects.
- Proven track record in leading complex projects from design through to commissioning.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient in engineering systems software and project management tools, with the ability to drive efficient delivery and reporting.
