Job summary

CMbE, based at Wortley, Leeds, is seeking an Electrical Assembly Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will produce, fit and test OEM electrical assemblies on large equipment, wiring and panel connections to meet safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical assembly and testing, a Level 3 electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent, and strong problem-solving skills to work autonomously within a busy, safety-focused

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical assembly and testing of OEM machinery.
• Experience reading complex schematic drawings and wiring control panels.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise workload and follow quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and test electrical assemblies on large OEM machinery.
• Wire and connect control panels to required safety and quality standards.
• Report hazards, maintain 6S cleanliness and escalate tooling/drawings issues as needed.
