Job summary

Canonical is seeking an Organisational Development Associate to join our People track. You’ll work embedded with a real team, diagnose health and management effectiveness, and design end-to-end improvements with a senior practitioner alongside you.

We hire for potential, coachability and strong academics, require business-level English, and expect travel up to four times per year as you move toward leading this work yourself.

Qualifications

• Track record of leading and organising early initiatives and driving change.
• Grounding in organisational psychology, behavioural science or related field.
• Drive, eagerness to learn, and openness to coaching.
• Ability to discuss change with confidence with senior colleagues.
• Exceptional academic performance in school and university.
• Typically up to two years since graduating.
• Business-level English (written & spoken).
• Organised, accurate, confident, authentic, results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Embedded inside a real team to observe and surface what works and what doesn’t.
• Run diagnostics on team health and management effectiveness.
• Own end-to-end improvements designed with a senior practitioner.
• Support managers in delivering 360 feedback and turning it into commitments.
• Help build the playbook: standards and shared tools for the function.
• Learn coaching and organisational development from senior practitioners.
