Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting for an October start in Bristol to support pupils needing additional help. You will work closely with teachers, SENDCOs, and pastoral teams to foster safe, positive learning environments and build confidence in pupils.

This temporary role offers practical classroom experience, with salary paid weekly and opportunities to develop skills in education, behaviour management, and SEND support.

Qualifications

• Passport/proof of right to work in the UK.
• 2 proofs of address.
• CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with gaps explained.
• Two years of references, including childcare, voluntary, or youth work.
• DBS check and update service; may require online checks.

Responsibilities

• You'll work closely with pupils who need additional support, encouragement, and guidance throughout the school day.
• Providing 1:1 support for children with additional needs.
• Helping pupils regulate emotions and navigate challenging moments.
• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Encouraging confidence, independence, and resilience.
• Working alongside teachers, SENDCOs, and pastoral teams.
