Job summary

Hariley Solutions West Midlands is seeking an Ocean Freight Import Operator for our Birmingham operation. You will manage ocean import shipments from arrival through to final delivery, coordinating with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers and logistics partners.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years' experience in ocean freight import operations, strong IT and cost-control skills, and a proactive approach to documentation, invoicing and achieving margins.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Ocean Freight Import operations.
• Strong understanding of both FCL and LCL processes is implied.
• Good IT and system skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ocean import shipments from arrival through to final delivery.
• Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, shipping lines, hauliers and other logistics partners.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and manage invoicing and margins.
• Ensure compliance with UK import and customs requirements.
