Job summary

GEODIS Basildon is seeking a Forwarder M/F to manage end-to-end ocean import forwarding, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs and KPI timelines while supporting internal and external customers.

You will invoice, perform job costing, customs entries and apply best practices, contribute to month-end cost control, and assist senior forwarders and the operations manager as required. Hours: 09:00–17:30, Mon–Fri, 37.5 hours per week, Basildon location.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE/O level standard or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of experience in a similar position (junior level).
• Proven customer service record and ability to work with internal/external customers.
• Fluent English and ability to operate in a logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete end-to-end Ocean Import forwarding activities as required.
• Follow SOPs and KPIs to ensure compliance and timeliness.
• Work closely with internal and external customers and focus on service.
• Prepare and submit reports within deadlines; assist with cost control.
• Handle invoicing, job costing and customs entries with NextGen/MS Office.
• Support senior forwarders, supervisor and operations manager as needed.
• Maintain customer relationships and participate in reviews and development initiatives.
